After giving them time to get their ears covered I flipped the switch from safe to semi and fired 3 rounds slow fire then flipped it to rock and roll and lit up the hillside in front of me and that had their attention!! Everybody had to try that one time and it sounded like a real war for a fact, we very seldom used full from the M-16’s simply because you hit more when you’re aiming and squeezing the trigger.

After we got back to camp we all gathered at the back of the truck and I showed them how to break the FN down to clean, not much different from the 16’s.
